Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
We did a 25 min downtown run today, then did various strides, and handoffs/hurdles. The strides were different than normal, the first two 120m at 1500 pace, then two progressive. Then we did starting drills where there was an opening of two hurdles that we sprinted towards and got out as fast as we could. I definitely need to work on getting out faster in races. I really liked this drill but it made my left hip/leg hurt a little bit. It was nice practicing hurdles without having a race the next day cause I felt less stressed. For my first attempt I messed up and didn't get over, so I felt really discouraged and I wanted to give up. The second time I went really slowly and definitely stutter-step but I got over! Coach told me to find a spot to take three quick steps and go, which helped a little. By the end I felt combfortable and I got some solid ones in. There is definitely room for improvement and my form is still terrible but I this was a step up from last time. I really excited to race 3k tm!!
