I had to do the whole workout by myself because i needed to leave at 5. Weishaar texted me the warmup during the schoolday so i could start that as soon as i got out of school. I did a 15 minute run (not progressive thank god), and i felt like i was going pretty fast so i tried to pace myself so I wouldn't kill it before the workout. When i got back to the track everyone else hadn't even started the team warmup yet. I did 4x 50m strides and then 4x 120m accelerations (1500 pace, 800 pace, 400 pace). For the workout, Weishaar told me to do 4-5x 800m repeats. They were supposed to be at 5k race pace and then the last 150m pick it up to 3k race pace. The splits were supposed to be at 1:40 which i was around for every one. The first one felt good but my legs felt really heavy. I was hoping that would go away but sadly it just got worse throughout each rep. The splits for my second one were not great: I started off fast on my first lap and then slowed down a lot on my second. The rest of my 800's were good though. Besides my legs feeling like they were gonna fall off i felt good. I told Weishaar i didn't like 800's all that much and he was inclined to agree. I hit my times right on target though. May have been able to go faster if i wasn't doing it by myself
