Long Run

15 miles

I want this to be set up as 5 easy and comfortable following
5 miles of pushing the pace, close to tempo but not quite, (maybe 7:45 to 8:15 area)
Followed by 5 miles very easy and comfortable again

did it ... was pretty tired through the whole run. Did the first five in about 9:30 pace..sped up (not sure what pace because my watch ran out of battery).. and then fairly slow on the way back.

I know this is not a steady and consistent long run, but very rarely do races pan out that way either. If you can start very conservative and push those middle miles it will serve you well for race readiness????
