Nisha and I ran the 1500. We got a little confused on how to get back for the last 5 tempo minute so that was a little stop start. What has happened with basically every race this season is that during the race my legs feel so heavy and I don't feel like I can go any faster, but the second I cross the finish line I feel fine again. I think that shows that cardiovascular(ly) I am fit, but my legs aren't very strong because biking is not the same as running. I felt okay during my race, although it was the first time that I have ever felt like the 1500 was long and going by really slowly. I finished in a season best but its really hard to be happy with the time. I see all of these girls from other teams that I was running with or beating last year running really fast times this year and I get super frustrated. I don't really know what times I should be hitting given the training that I have done, but I feel like they should be faster than what I am running. I think this year my best distance would be the 800 because it is short enough that my legs don't fatigue too badly and its not too long that I just run out of energy. Cooled down for 10 mins and waited for a bit before the 4x4. Only warmed up for the 4x4 for like 7 minutes because I was starting to feel a pain in my leg. The 400 went better than I thought it would, I wasn't sure how much top end speed I would have. We all ran 65s. On the cool down my leg felt worse, we were going probably at 13 min/ mile pace seeing as Emma could walk next to us and keep up. Overall it was a really fun meet to watch, there were some great races on the boys and girls side. The girls won! If you had asked me if we would even be close to winning at the beginning of the season I would have laughed seeing as out team was so small and didn't look strong on the sprinting side. So proud of everyone who raced and I think the hard work is starting to show in many peoples times. The doctor has scheduled me for an MRI. She isn't sure whether to do it on my pelvis to test for a torn muscle or to do it on my back to test for a herniated disk. She booked it for my pelvis but I feel like my back may be more reasonable to do, shes the expert though so I feel like I should go with what she is saying? I just don't want the scan to come back with nothing because they are SO expensive...
