Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
I was in coach B's office and saw a picture of a lengthy kid who looked exactly like Silas, I actually thought it was him at first it was crazy. So today was mix of recovery and getting used to pacing. We did a nice lighthouse keeping the pace smooth, and then we headed back to the track for some rhythm 200's that got progressively faster. I focused on keeping my arms in again on this run. I feel like if I keep doing this eventually my body will just get used to it and I won't have to focus on it and my body will do it on its own. We were aiming at hitting 34's. We were aiming for starting at XC pace and then going 2 mile pace, then mile, and finishing at 800 pace. Silas' quad was hurting so he just went at a constant pace. Our first rep we went too quickly. And hit a 30, after that we knew we had to stay in control but we went too slow at 37. After that our pacing was spot on, hitting consistent 34's. We did a 200m jog in between each 200. Finished with a boynton mile. Afterwards I stretched at home. I've been coming up with some great organizational ideas for XC. But for now I'm gonna push that out of my mind and closing this track season in hopefully a great way, because I'm looking for some pr's.
