Comments:
Ran from 86th street down the river to 31st Street and back. Paused at the heliport to stretch and watch a chopper land and take off. Never tried to push the pace. Leg swings five minutes in, near the boat basin, and the stretch at the turn around both helped, but I never got loose enough to feel fresh. The walking (a nice stroll tonight home from Elios, plus another mile or two along Amsterdam) have added to the general leg fatigue and foot aches. These runs in the second week of training are just about surviving and forcing oneself to keep going even though every step I feel like quitting. If I can just get through this week (and possibly one more after this), I'll begin to get a few runs which actually feel good.
