Reservoir

Weather: humid, 70s, feels like it is going to be a hot day

Comments:
Headed out at 7:00am and ran 86th to the Reservoir. Looped it once and extended to run another quarter of it before winding my way back to 86th and on home to the apartment. Legs felt surprisingly loose... hopefully due to the increased stretching I did yesterday and the leg massage I gave myself yesterday after my run. My pace today was north of 8 early on, but it was down to 7:10 or so according to the mile marks on the reservoir. Thanks to feeling loose, this was the best I'd felt on a run in the past two weeks.

I'm coming back to DC tonight and I hope to stay focused through the weekend an for the rest of summer. My goal was 25 miles last week and 30 miles this week. I'll likely try for 30 again next week and then bump up to 35 the following week. I've been doing push ups 5 days per week and will hopefully add some planks and clams more regularly in the weeks to come.
