For this run I just did a few loops around the resort and that got me to 4 miles. Today was just a trial day to see how my Achilles held up and felt throughout the run. I paid close attention to how it was feeling throughout the run. I started at a really slow pace around 8 minute pace and eventually when I became comfortable with running on the Achilles and since it was pain free I tested lowering the pace a little bit. It was fine, but I kept the pace for the run slow throughout. My form was a little off but a lot of that was compensating for my Achilles. Another thing that has been going on is the arch of that foot where the Achilles soreness is has been hurting after my runs. I've been rolling it out lately with a lacrosse ball. After the run I did some light stretching and then iced up right after the run and later in the nice. Knock on wood but I think I'm on my way getting better. Though my Achilles was sore and swollen after the run it was pain free and once I iced up it went pretty much back to normal.
