I was up pretty early this morning so hopefully I beat some of the heat, not that it felt like that. I did some walk/jog and then some stretches and dynamic warmups. As I was just about to leave my dad decided to join me so I waited for him for 10 min and we set off into the park on the Western Ridge trail then the Valley trail and back on Beach and Bingham. I felt pretty good the whole time, though the last mile entirely uphill wasn't especially fun. It was good to have my dad there to keep me at a slow pace though I did get ahead of him on hills and had to wait at the top. This ended up being a lot longer than I wanted it to be so it was good to keep it slow. My knee feels the same as it has and stayed the same throughout the run. Still a bit swollen but I've iced twice since the run and plan to ice more. Really enjoyed the company and I know I would have probably been miserable alone.
