Exercise Type: Run
Weather: low 80s, sunny
Comments:
Ran down Cedar and across Ambleside to the Meadow under the big tree. Did 5xlong hill to the top of the bench (~35 seconds up, 1:00 recovery back to start), 5xshort hill to just past the manhole cover (17,16,16,15,14 up, ~1:05 recovery looping past the stakes at bottom of the long hill), and 5x sprints from the lone small tree to the start of the backstop (10.lo, 9.9, 9.5, 9.4, 9.5) with walkback recovery. Really hot but felt like a good workout. I can tell it hit my lower back so that's good; means I'm building useful strength there. Total of 15:00 working effort plus cooldown back up Cedar to home.
Also, while cooling down I remembered that during training in season, each workout seemed a little daunting to have to do because of fatigue/ soreness from the last one. If I would rather do a workout than an easy run because it's less boring, that means I need to be training harder/ more regularly.
