Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
I was just about to head out for my run when I got a text from Abby saying she'd overslept her alarm to run with Rhianna and asked if I'd like to join her. So I met her along Western near the Greenvale hills she'd been planning to do. This was meant to be my long run so I didn't particularly feel the need to also be doing a hill workout. For all but the last hill, I just jogged up and back down. It was all quite slow because the ups were slow and the downs were Abby's recoveries. I am so so impressed with her for this workout. I absolutely could not have done it. Those were really tough hills. I was in pain just jogging up them. It probably was good for me in terms of training to do a very hilly longer run though. Abby had to do them all alone and she killed it. On the way back home, she seemed to feel better than I did, and I hadn't even done the workout. So impressed.
A bit worried about being out of shape myself. the last mile home was really tough and I felt like I might pass out at one point. When I got home I sat down and felt my heartbeat in my head and a weird tingling in my lower legs and my vision got grainy for a second. Probably haven't been drinking enough water. Hills were a little much on my knee. stretched and strengthed- crazy planks, clams and PT.
looking forward to being in Spain and running in a new place hopefully with cooler temps.
