Warrior Mountain Classic!

WOW!
I'd have to say this has been the most amazing run of my life.
It was truly unforgettable.
and I've never felt so exhausted after a race! My body is beat.

Every little thing about this race just made me realize I am a runner.
I enjoyed it SO much.
I felt the most positive I have in a LONG LONG time, and that was amazing!
I took out the beginning very slow, humming the tune to the crazy frog.
I wasn't worried about the mile markers, I was just happy to run.
It is beautiful up there!
Mile 1 I felt amazing, making sure to save energy for the giant hill! *dun dun dun*. I think it was about here that a Caldwell girl latched on to me, and as soon as she attempted to fall back I did not let her. We chatted a bit when we could breathe and I asked her what her PR was, she proceeded to tell me 31:45..and in my mind all I could think was, Okay. We are going to beat that girl. Whenver she fell behind Id yell "Katherine c'mon! get up here" and she would get up with me. I told her a lot of tips, about how its okay to walk the hill and she shouldnt feel like a slacker because it was a tough tough hill and I told her to take short small steps going up hills and keep her arms in while running downhill.

2nd mile was my best, more towards the end of it. Usually my 2nd is my worst but it really wasnt! I passed a few people, and braced myself for the hill dragging katherine along with me. I walked up that hill with no shame, holding my knees trying to get up as quick as I could. I really dont think my legs have burned so much after all those hills!
Anways, katherine got behind a bit but I got her motivated to get back up with me.

3rd mile- We got our minds off of how freakin tired we were and on random things like cookies and cheescake.
then we get serious. I said katherine, we are gonna go get them Bk girls okay? and she obliged.
One bk girl was having a really hard time crying yelling that she cant, and i told her she could..and that to control her breathing and though she didnt keep with me with about half a mile to go, she did incredible!Katherine got a minute PR on the hardest course! I feel so accomplished that I kept her motivated.
She must be so happy.
and I'm estactic!
That time! Was only 14 seconds slower than Jimmy, and 2 MINUTES FASTER than caldwell!! Hills compared to grass and I demolished my time?! I feel so happy!
I said whoo! at one point to taylor.
I was really pumped.
i felt strong.
very strong

what i did good; i was so positive and i had the most fun ive had running. but i also worked very hard
what i did not so well; I think I couldve pushed it a bit more on the flat parts and downhills during the 1st and 2nd miles. I easily talked.
