Cass park workout

Today the plan was to run over to Cass and get in some tempo wrk. Ran exactly 2.5 miles to Cass. I was cruising for parts of it for sure. Then when I got there I did drills and strides and then got my flats on for the workout. The other guys were doing a hill workout with tempo in between. But that hill was a little much for me so instead I did a workout of 6-4-2. With 3 mins jogging recovery after 6 mins, 2 mins after 4 mins and then 2 mins in between sets. I was just excited for the workout and to get my legs moving. My main goal was to keep the pace sain. Through I really wanted to do the workout with the guys instead during my workout I was able to go my own pace and sorta work out my pacing by myself. Something I'm gonna need to know going into races later on. I gotta get that internal clock back. My first 6 min tempo was fairly easy in the walk thru the fire field. Then I moved over to the fields behind the rink and did my 4 minute tempo which felt about the same. Both got me breathing but not too hard. The next 2 min tempo was probably the easiest of all of my tempos throughout the workout. The next 6 min tempo was over at dog park. I really worked this one and the whole second set. It was at the very low end of the spectrum for tempo paces. Next was the 4 min which I also worked pretty hard but it was over at the walk thru the fire field. These last two I felt a deeper cardiovascular effort than the rest of the tempos. I still didn't feel anything much in my legs. The workout just got them moving it was mostly all cardiovascular. The last 2 mins I just cruised back to the rest of the guys where I started behind the turtle. It was a good overall workout and the most I've done since coming back. I felt great. I got a ride back with coach and rolled once I was done.
