Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
Great, great run today. We did upper body lifting then drove up to Cornell. I talked to the coach for a little bit and Oseoba. Then we headed out on our run. We started out into the plantations then over to that wide open field. Then we took the side trails along the gorge. We sorta just ran and made up the turns as we went on. Not gonna lie we were a little lost but it was a good lost because we would just makeup where we would go as we went on. The only bad part of the run was where we had to climb up a hill to get to an upper trail but after that we were near the monkey entrance closest to the bridge and we decided to try something different we went straight on this open path and then at the end of it we found a new trail we took that not knowing where it would go. It took us on this really cool route and we ended up back in the one open field where we started again after like 30 mins on those new trails. I always love finding new trails so this run was amazing at the end coming through forest home I was enjoying every second of the run. We got to plantations and Derf said he wanted to check out some other trails. I knew he knew what he was doing so it was all good. I think he added on a little. The rest of us headed right back to the track. The pace was somewhat quick. It's really hard to judge pace in trails but we were somewhere around 7 mins. Also we probably got in like 12.5 miles instead of 12. So the most I have done by far. The goal was to get back at around 10 miles and see how I was feeling after that but that never happened since we were way out there. Anyways it feels really good, a little sore but that's how it normally feels. The most I've done in a long long time. Drills and foot drills once we were done, good day of work.
