Cooldown time is approximate, because I accidentally forgot to stop my watch on the cooldown split.
Left school early today because I wasn't feeling well, which had kind of continued from yesterday which was why I missed practice. Anyway, biked from home today, so was a little late, and then ran to Stewart by myself. I was in a group for the workout with Walter, Garrett, and Samson. Our target time for each 400 was 94-98 seconds, and then faster than 94 was our goal for the "hammer" reps, as Liam put it, which were 5 and 6, out of the 7-8 we were supposed to do. I need more speed workouts like this because my lack of speed is what is keeping me from competing higher up. I am pretty confident with my endurance, but I feel like I hit a wall sometimes in races where it's difficult to push the pace much more. After rep 7, Walter dropped out, and the three of us did the 8th. I hit my times for most of them, except was too slow on the 4th, 7th, and 8th reps. Did the cooldown back to IHS, where we did hurdles, drills, stretching, and core. I added 30 push-ups and 10 leg lifts because I wasn't able to lift yesterday and wanted more out of the core today. Excited, I guess, for the PSAT tomorrow morning. Also, a good day of work.
