Comments:
The warmup was faster than what I usually prefer, but I think we slowed down a bit near the end. The first 2 reps were okay, we were just 2 seconds under the assigned pace. I finished way behind Grace and Zoe during the first hammer rep, and I wasn't willing to give up about 15 seconds of my rest, so I started after them for the next one. I was actually happy to start after them because then I could finish the rest of the workout on my own. Zoe starts really quickly and then slows down at the end of reps during workouts a lot. I don't like that because I'm more comfortable with running a consistent pace or speeding up at the end, rather than the beginning. Maybe that's why I ran so much slower on the 4th rep - because I wanted to stay consistent. Running behind Grace and Zoe also messes with my mentality because I feel like I'm lagging behind and at some point I become so convinced that I am falling behind that I actually do. There have only been a few instances when I've led for part of the workout and I always felt really strong every time. But anyway, the second hammer rep my time was way off what it should of been. I tried to do better on the last rep because I felt bad about it and I ended up running the same time as the interval reps. For the last three reps, I suddenly felt really sick right after I passed the 500m mark. It was weird. I was generally fine with the whole workout though, just a little disappointed about the 4th rep.
