Exercise Type: Run
Weather: Good
Comments:
This was a pretty good meet. For some reason, even though I was feeling good and I was having positive thoughts, it felt like the longest run in my life!!
Me and Nathan stuck together pretty good, but in the end, I beat him by a few seconds. We were both pushing each other; I don't know if I would have gotten as good as I got if he hadn't been there.
I'm pretty stoked about my time: 21:45. It's the same time I got at Silverwood, and it's my current PR. The reason I'm excited about it is that Silverwood is a way easy course.
The first mile of my race was pretty good; I think I probably could've started a little harder. As we were running, I saw a sign that said mile two and I said out loud, "Really? Already?" The person next to me said, "No, that's for the second lap." I was kind of bummed about that.
The second mile was great. I just kept passing people, moving my way up. I thought to myself "At the next meet, I should count how many people I pass." I would probably lose track though. I don't know whether the hill was in the first or second mile, but I did pretty good.
The third mile was good. I kept passing people. I got to the hill again and this time wasn't so good; I was tired. At the end, I got a nice kick, and got my time.
