Weather: High 80s, warm
Comments:
Tried to go slow for a mile then drop down to a 7min/mi tempo run. After one mile of tempo work, I know I am a long way from a sub-20. Not that I thought I was there, but I'm not even sub-21. But, I haven't been consistent, so here's to two straight weeks of 3+ runs and 14+ miles. Oh, I was heckled by an elementary school gym class during mile 3..."look kids, now that's a jogger. See, he's doing more than a walk, but not running very fast" No kidding! Then a boy yelled "pick up the pace!" I couldn't make this up. My response should have been: "This is a recovery mile on the tempo run called life". But I was too winded from my tempo "mile".
