Footbridge

February 13, 2017 (Night)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: 10s

Comments:
Took it pretty slow today. It was just an easy run to start off the week. Ran from my house on West Hill, to the Commons, up Giles, across the footbridge, down MLK, then through downtown and back home. I logged running up Coy Glen Road separately because it is so much slower than the rest of the run. Got back and did some lifting and core.

I've really been going through a rough stretch with my running lately. During the school day, I sort of look forward to getting out for a run, but then when I get home I just want to get it over with as soon as possible. I'm rarely enjoying my runs at all. I like doing speed intervals, or going on long runs over 10 miles that push my endurance (see July 2016), but another typical run like today just bores me. I guess I sort of feel an expectation from other people to run as well, mainly my parents, now that I've been running for four years. I know in the end that it's my choice, but I'd also probably miss competing if I quit. Perhaps it's just this winter weather, because I was definitely starting to have more fun last summer while running.

I saw Coach Parker and Coach Welch downtown too. That was cool.
