This was amazing!
I felt great.
Nick helped me sooo much. Last saturday, he had to listen to me vent about how un-movtivated and disappointed I was.
He gave me great advice then, but today right before my race he got serious and told me "Remember, run this race for you. Its for you." and I told myself that so many times while I was racing, it helped so much. Thank you Nick.
Start;Kinda slow D: but it was hard to get past some girls.
mile 1-went by so fast! i tried to push my way up that bridge. I felt great. I felt happy. I tried to not run fast cause I didnt wanna burn myself out haha.
mile 2- Again, went by fast. I really passsed people here for once! Like coach said, I made those little goals. I drafted off each person in front of me, and counted 1,2,3,4 and it made it so easy to get up to them! I officially love counting!
Mile 3- Well when I realized we were on mile 3 I was like omg! already?! Coach Brice told me to get to Julie, and I was like alright. That is my last goal, to beat julie. We worked off each other, not with words, but with pace. I wish I had sprinted the end.
What I did good-I was happy;I ran for myself, and no one else. and I risked it all. I had a better 2nd mile than usual.
What I didnt do so good- I could have gotten more sleep, eaten a proper breakfast, drank more water, and sprinted the end.
I felt like a true runner today. I was just happy. After the race, jessica was like did you do good?! and i was like yeah! and shes like ive missed seeing you happy after races! haha
This is the first race this year that I've beat the time from the meet last year..i got 27:45 last year.
yay me.
:]
And Dylan's smile made my day.
it really did.
that was priceless.
You all are amazing.
Im so blessed:]
I very much wanted to qualify for Oregon, it is a bummer that I didnt make it but I know that I worked my butt off, and I hope that you all do amazing at Oregon.
