Comments:
JB was in town for 24 hours and I was spending most of them at parent teacher conferences, so we woke at 6:15 and ran down to Cleveland Park and back. Achilles was fine until half way mark and then it fell right back into its achy state. The coach in me knew my first run back shouldn't be this long, but the brother in me wanted to run with Jonny. Alas, after three days of slow progress, I set the Achilles back to where it had been. I guess I need to cross train. nice run otherwise. I can certainly ignore the Achilles pain for these sorts of runs, but it is clearly not useful to do so. It's not going to heal with regular use. Last mile from Tenley was 7:22 with a natural acceleration, but pace probably averaged closer to 8:00 for most. As always, Jonny was game.
