Warm up well...
Maybe a very easy .5 to 1.0 slow..
Get some stretches and strides in...
I don't know what this course is like, but like I said last night, you are fitter than ever!!

I think you can take out the first mile in about 7:30 and then progress from there. If you can find a group to stay with for the first mile or two please try to do that. Let them do the work, stay in a pack and use the least amount of energy you can to maintain pace or even speed up slightly the second mile. As usual, I want you to give it your all that last mike. If your not in a little bit of pain, you are not racing hard enough....
Remember all the hard workouts you've done. The fitness is in you.
You just have to use it!!!
If you can end the last 400m interval in a 1:26 which is 5:45 pace, after a long workout,
You can finish the last mile of a 5k in low 7!!!
