April 9, 2017 (Morning)
Exercise Type: Run
Weather: Cool and not humid: pretty much perfect for running
Comments:
I'm really happy with my time this morning. I actually beat my time from the "Spontaneous Christmas 10k." PR!!
My legs were really tired, even during the warm up, and that worried me a little. I felt like there were times during the race where my legs held me back. They were just really sore and tight.
I didn't really know how to race a 10k going into it and to be honest it was really weird. With a half marathon it's like a slightly fast e pace, with a 5k it's as fast as you can, but for a 10k it's almost like I pace. Like not quiet full race pace but definitely faster than tempo.
The big hill at mile 4 wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. To be honest, I think the worst hills were the small rolling ones in the first 3 miles because they didn't look like hills but they really were.
Shout out to Anna who ran with me the whole time even though she was itching to run faster. #blessed
