Comments:
I was feeling unmotivated as I had been feeling the past couple of days.
When I first got on the treadmill, I wanted to stop. I started out easey 8:15 to 8:00 pace, then around the 5 minute mark, i picked up the pace. Running faster helped! It was like I needed to run faster. I ran the 5K in 22:19. After the first 5:00 or 0.6 miles, I ran 2.5 miles in 17:19 (roughly 6:55 pace average). However, I ended with a low 6:00 pace for about the last half mile. After the 5K, I then slowed to an 8:00 pace, give or take (8:15 to 7:45).
I ended up running 4.1 miles total in 30:19. I ran a 5:00 warmup, 2.5 tempo, and an 8:00 cooldown.
