To me, a world without gender based violence will appear to be similar to our current world on the surface, but as you look closer, the depth of human interactions will reveal a greater sense of equality and respect between genders. The lack gender based violence in our society will come with the destruction of male centredness, and gendered stereotypes will vanish. Everyone will respect everyone else’s humanity, and by doing so, will understand the rules of consent. A world without gendered violence is inherently more peaceful; women and men can go about their daily lives without feeling pressured by their identity’s stereotypes, and can move throughout space feeling safe in their own skin. When people interact in this world, especially women and men, ideally all aspects of hierarchy have vanished and a sense of equality between both parties is established. This means that men do not believe that something is being taken away from them by having society accept feminism, but rather men and women coexist in the world as humans while still retaining what is unique about being either male or female.
