Exercise Type: Run
Weather: cool, 50s and TFR typical
Comments:
After the CIA mechanical dog barking alarm woke me at 5:10, I got up with my watch alarm at 5:20 and slipped out of the kitchen tent for my annual run. Explored the old site and pavilions and ran under the power lines with a good bushwhack at the end to find my way back through the Brush to the cooking fire. It served its purpose to wake me up and I spent the next 90 minutes breathing viscous smoke as I cooked 12 lbs of bacon, 12 dozen eggs, a cauldron of oatmeal, and 12 gallons of cocoa. This was the first year the trip was deliberately only 2 days and one night. Worked for me.
