Terrible

After not running for what feels like an entire year, I don't really know why I was expecting this run to feel good at all. I started out fine, but about 3 minutes in, I needed to take a breather. I ended up running just about 4 miles but I stopped probably about 5 times throughout the run just to catch my breath. I haven't been consistently running since I believe the beginning of the Spring season. This whole year has been disapointing to say the least. I started and ended my XC season by passing out at big meets. Then during the winter season I got shin splints and couldn't really run at full health for most of the season. Than during the Spring season I got whooping cough, and I believe just under a month ago I got a concussion. These injuries have been really hard to deal with. It feels like all my hard work from Freshman year was just completely thrown out. And as much as I like cheering for my team and showing my support, it has been incredibly hard watching most of the winter and spring season meets from the sidelines, thinking about how I could be running. It was nice to get out and run today for the first time in a while but I know I have a lot of room to makeup. Anyways, so I've decided to start logging and recording my runs again. I used to record every run with my watch and log some of my runs, and I am not really sure why I stopped.
