Heat is a Poor Man's Altitude

June 12, 2017 (Afternoon)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: 90s and humid af

Comments:
Let me blunt. This run felt absolutely horrible. I went decently fast and got through it, but man this was probably the hardest run I've done all summer. 5 miles is not a hard distance for me to complete, but man did this feel like 10 miles.

I ran a sporadic loop around campus from Wilson (where I'm living to work for AOP now). At 3 miles, I stepped off the sidewalk wrong and rolled my ankle hard. I was also really feeling the heat, so I stopped for 3-5 mins in the library to get a drink. Finishing those last 2 miles were, I wanted to quit so much. AND THIS JUST A NORMAL RUN! GEEZ!

I'm not sure how to adjust running to heat, so hopefully I can figure that out or it's back to midnight runs lol.
