Weather: Hot - 100

Comments:
Pretty easy day at work this morning (6:30a-11a) and it was nice that on my way home Sara mentioned I had a good window to get in a run before she was gonna get a pedi later in the day.

Wore the Salomon vest (2x17oz. front-flasks) just to ensure I had enough H20. Started out easy up to the meadow - legs still a little heavy from the week, but the old grind-it-out gear is still there. Felt pretty good once at the top and cruised across the meadow to Hwy 49. As I crossed the road I was stoked to see the faucet there as I knew it'd be a good go-to on the way back. Made good work down to JL/LQ and chipped my way back up - easy. Thought back to '12 when Joe freakin' ran up this climb - geez man - so impressive. Doused like a MF at the faucet. Ahhhhh, felt amaze-balls. Got the core-body temp low enough to where I was good to go for the rest of the run. Looked at the watch just before the drop-off point after the meadow and it read: 1:21 ... Was pretty confident I could hit NH's + "some" to get back to my car by at least 1:40. The descent felt great! With my GREHPS in-hand, each step felt balanced and secure. I absolutely love the e3 grips. I think I'm gonna use them at RDL and every ultra thereafter.

Good run and was happy to have taken it easy outbound and to have finished with a quality descent.
