Took a few miles to warm up into this run - out of town, your climbing for a good 1/2mi up to the TH so it's easy to feel a little clunky starting out. Once on the trail, got into a good groove - that is, until I was making my way toward Indian Beach and the trail was completely destroyed! WTF?! It looked like a hurricane had gone through there - hundreds of downed trees and just a mess all-around. Found the makeshift trail and bushwhacked to rejoin the "real trail". Whew, that was interesting. Once at IB, took a new trail/gravel jeep road that climbed for exactly a mile. Pretty solid! Turned around at the top and had a good run back. Another week hitting my training goal. Feeling good and ready for big week this upcoming week.
