Exercise Type: Run
Weather: 77 and very humid, but better than most days have been
Comments:
I'm finally getting used to the heat and humidity when 77 and 91% humidity feel refreshing. I'd sent out word to alumni to join me for weekend runs if they wanted, and it was fun to have a few of them along with siblings and neighbors. We took a comfortable, mid 9 min pace up through the country club parking lot and back along Shepherd? and Brookville. Dropped off Abe and then the Phoenix (She's risen again from the flame of injury) after 3 and 4 miles respectively. Returned Lightning Thief and Z to their hood and finished up at 3944 with The Plumber and Little G. Was another needed recovery day and I'm hoping I'll feel a little quicker with my solo Philly runs. Pleased to have surpassed my recent mileage goals and to be not feeling awful on every run. Of course it helps that I've had lots of company and easy paces and easy two-a-days. These next three weeks without much company will be a test of focus and fitness. Surely the work I've put in will help me, but assuming I keep building, I may not feel fresh or good for some time to come. I'll have to hang in there and be patient for the rewards which will not regularly come until September and October.
