First Workout of The Summer

Today, I ran my first workout of the summer. It probably wasn't the best idea, since I ran a 14 mile long run yesterday, but ya know I did it. And it surprisingly went well.

I warmed up for about 2 miles down river trail and back. Then I spiked up in my XC Spikes and did the workout. The workout was 7x2 mins hard with a 1 min jog in between. I was going a bit too fast on the repeats, but I was basing it more off effort than actual pace. I did them on the grassy field by Wilson and Holden, so pace didn't matter. I was more just trying to simulate a cross country race atmosphere and it worked out. I was feeling tired at the end, but for the most part i felt strong. I'll be feeling sore tomorrow, but still very happy with that effort.
