Comments:
After a good Saturday with Jonny's family here and Sheila's Favorite from Something Natural and a brisk bike ride to and from Quidnet (maybe 12-14 miles round trip?)and some Kadima on the beach there, JB and I fell into the familiar routine of Dad's loop. At the mile and a half, I suggested we not try to extend the route and I stand by that decision. Running is supposed to be fun and not just about hitting random mileage goals. His company helped focus me and with the pair of striders I did yesterday and a touch of pre-run stretching, I was a bit looser than usual. We were at Cliff Road by 7:35 and the top of the Cobblestone hill by 15:18. Seashell driveway was 22:43 and the turn onto Walsh came at 28:10. Pulled ahead of JB then to see if I could sneak under 30:00 for the 4+ route. Hit the mailbox under 29:50 with Jonny at 29:56 and delighted to be sub 30. So much easier to run with company and nice to have a day with my brother. Run felt focused and intentional, but not strained or tempo.
