Ok lady... please remember this is just a workout!!
You've come a long way to be able to toe the line again and I'm so proud of all you have been doing in PT and at home to stay as healthy and strong as possible!!
I think a great idea for this race would be to go out pretty steady for .5 mile runs and to take a very short 20 to 30 sec. walk after each half mile.
It's only 3 miles and you have already done 6 so keep that in mind as you are going through each mile and know there really is no pressure but this is a great opportunity to run a little bit faster than you would on a regular day ...
When finished go help Kristen if possible!!!
Be sure to warm up a little before your race and get some stretches in.
Its going to be dark but I hope it's fun!!!
