Exercise Type: Run
Weather: Very nice, a bit humid, but fairly cool? 60s
Comments:
After shuttling two mini-busloads of athletes from camp to the base of the heights, I ran at a steady pace up to the flat ridge above the overlook. It took about 15 minutes to reach that spot and followed others up past the naval battery to reach that spot. Stood there for the next half hour or so to encourage and direct others. After the last group went by, I followed them down to the overlook alone. Enjoyed the view for a few minutes and then took off aggressively to regain the heights and then ran fast down the hill to the base. (About 7 minutes to get back down the hill from that flat ground.) Satisfyingly hard run, but would have liked it if I could have run back to camp, but I was needed to drive.
