Exercise Type: Run
Weather: 90
Comments:
Had planned to do some reps on K2, but the road down to the confluence was backed up for a LONG time for some reason? After waiting 10min, veered off and just drove to Robie Pt.
Started the opposite way than normal (down that steep, rocky descent on the other side) then wound my way back around the Point to connect with the WS trail. It definitely felt warm, but shoot, after last Saturday? My brain is like "Is that all you got?" No joke, I think some good mental toughness was built from Saturday.
Easy run down to the bridge and once I was on K2, I hiked a little, but felt good enough to run most of it. Had. a good descent (8+ min), then a smooth run back up to Robie. However, at the water fall, I laid in the pool for a bit. Ahhhh, felt good. Ok, I'm adopting this now. If there's a puddle, I'm dousing, or if big enough, laying in it. It just feels amazing.
Had a good, easy climb back up to Robie Point. Even though it was warm, it was still a good run. Heat zapped me for the rest of the day, though! Drank a ton of fluids to replenish.
