Threshold mile repeats

So this was interesting. I drive over to the ag site at like 4:20 to go measure out the course thinking it would be quick and easy. But of course the whole place is fucked, and it took a while to figure out a new route. In the past, just one whole loop was 1 mile, but that is not longer possible. I didn't bring any of my running clothes because I was expecting it to be quick and I didn't want to risk getting a ticket for where my car was parked. So at like 4:55 I finish marking the course and begin driving back to my house to change. But of course my phone was in my ca the whole time I was measuring so I wasn't able to tell the officers that I was going to be hella late until it was too late.

After arriving back home, I change clothes and start pretty much tempoing over to the ag site because nobody knows how I set up the new course and I wanted to make sure I got there before they started. Luckily I arrived literally just in time and it was all good.

The workout today was 6 x 1-mile repeats @ threshold w/ 1:00 standing rest, so slightly easier than last week. We also sometimes took a bit more rest so that we could all stay together. We had a good group and once again Paolo and I felt really good and kinda pushed it for some parts. But we also tried to hold ourselves back and let the other guys (Lucas, Red Cap Jack, and another freshmen named Matthew) lead since they were also right there. Excited to see where this team goes. Hopefully Riley gets over his sickness soon; he sounded awful this morning.
