Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
Did enough mileage this week so I just did a short shakeout along the bike path at MacArthur. The whole run is flat except for my street, it connects down to MacArthur, which is basically just one giant hill.
I decided to play a game with myself where I would have to run each mile at the exact same comfortable steady pace. I did the first mile at 8:17, not for any particular reason, just because that's what felt comfortable. The next mile was 8:18. Felt good the whole way. The final mile was 8:08 because I overestimated how fast I would need to go in order to get up the hill and still have the average pace for the run be the same.
I missed about a dozen or so leaf catching opportunities during the run since I was so focused on my form and in my head about pacing. At least the entire thing felt controlled and I think that it was a good mental exercise for me to do. Did a mix of the bodyweight exercises from both the A and B days beforehand. Nice long stretch afterwards. Calves are very tight, most likely from my shoes.
