Exercise Type: Run
Weather: slippery and wet, also pretty chilly
Comments:
we got to newark at about 9:20. then we started walking the course, but we had to start our warmup because the varsity race was at 10:47. we didour warmup, and then stretched and did speed development. jarred wasnt racing because his shin was hurting him. the gun shot off and i slipped at the start. everyone started out pretty slow, but then we picked it up. i felt like i was going fast, but i was very comfortable and i felt like i could have gone faster. my heelhurt at one point, but not bad. i kept slipping and one time i landed when my knee was locked. down the hill i had to be carefull not to slip and fall. i was going back and forth with a guy from ithaca named mackenzie. we were catching up to brendan, but brendan beat me because i did not catch him in time. i beat mackenzie though. after the race i did a cooldown and went home with anthony.i was 22 overall, 7th on the team, but really eigth if you count jarred. my time was 17:46, which i think was a pr.
