I can't really think of a worse way to end a season. My expectations going into this race were really high, but I completely blew it. I realize that a 27:30, which was my goal, might have been unreasonable due to the weather, but I was nowhere near the equivalent time for the course conditions. Came through the first mile at 5:26, which is a little slower than I would have liked. Coming thorough a few seconds slower through mile one wasn't what bothered me, but it was how difficult that pace felt. I knew that wasn't a good sign and I never calmed myself down. After that my form fell apart, and I just cruised through the last 4 miles to finish.

Basically this season was similar to last season in that I ran one good (not great) race and let myself down for the rest of the season. The base training and the milage are there. I need to intensely work on getting mentally focused during the race so that I can actually become a consistent runner. Other things I plan on working on before indoor track are getting stronger by hitting the weight room, and calm my breathing down.
