Comments:
They told us tonight would be a light workout, followed by pizza and a distance medley relay to celebrate the end of the BAA fall season. None of those came true. The pizza was cancelled on account of the pizza places being too backed up for Halloween, the DMR was canceled due to cold, and the workout was anything but light, unless 3 3/4 miles of hard sounds light to you (it's not). That said, it was less than the usual 4-5 miles we do, so I guess by that metric... Ran w/ Katsu and Rose, steadily cutting down the pace each time by a bit more than we were planned on. Felt good nearly the whole way and always confident I could stay with them and finish. I really loved to the 400m at the end. Would have gone faster but was saving for the DMR that never came. Oh well. Maybe I'll go out next week and see how fast a 400m I can churn out.
I've reached the point in the season where I'm so used to short recoveries that the 400m we got between intervals felt luxurious.
