Pack Mentality

Today's workout was a 2.60 mile warmup, 5 x 1 mile at 8K pace (actually 5K to 3K pace for me) with 3 minute walking rest, and a 1.26 mile cool down while holding the wheel. The workout was at the Rugby Field.

This was another one of my better workouts of the season. I focused mainly on sticking with the pack- Paolo and BJ. Paolo gave me some advice to always push when you feel like you're falling off the pack. So I focused on doing that and had a really good workout. I did the workout much faster than I should've, but I also accidentally took yesterday off, so RIPPPPPPPP. We were all together until 800 meters to go in the last interval. Paolo sent it pretty hard, but BJ and I chased after him. I decided to treat it like a race and battle BJ all the way to the end and almost ran a sub 5 mile! So wooooooo!!!!

Besides the workout, I hyped up the Paolo vs. Me showdown in the Ben Lambert Memorial Mile on Sunday. Though Paolo will most likely beat me, I'm playing the role of the underdog and am going to try and upset his winning streak over me lol! Stay tuned world!
