@Austin, I agree that for at least the VP positions, anyone should be able to run for them. As a VP myself and obviously having a good understanding of what this position requires, I really don't think there is any reason that someone must hold an officer position for a year to be qualified for it.

However, for the position of President I do think it is absolutely necessary to have been an officer for at least a year. As President, you are overseeing and running everything. And if you haven't been an officer before, you will be completely lost and unfit to lead the club imo.

Not sure what we can do about changing the club constitution for this in time for the elections in the spring unfortunately. I'll bring it up at the next officer meeting and we'll see what we can do.
