Today I ran my first track workout of the season on the New Buffalo indoor track. The track is 12 laps for a mile, so fuck that but it’s better than running outside. I did a 2 mile warmup, 8x200m at R pace, 800m recovery, 8x200m at R pace, and a 2 mile cool down.
The workout was tough but I pushed through. It felt like a hard effort with all of the extra turns. Definitely hurt my ankles a bit. After the first set, I was tired, but i pulled through and consistently ran 33-34 per 200. The 200 could’ve been a second off, but not 100% sure.
Overall, great first track workout of the season. Though it felt kind of hard, I know I’m slowly going to get my speed back. 1st race on 1/12, so let’s gooooo!
