MLK for speed and tempo

October 23, 2009 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
Went down to MLK for the workout today. Honestly this felt tough for me. We did 8x45s hard with 1:00 between each. I pushed these knowing that this part of the workout was my strong suit and the tempo miles to come would be where I would struggle. I was right. I basically hung on the back of the pack for both of them. Thanks to Colina and Dave Carter for pulling me through the last mile. Overall I feel really tired even though I've been sleeping a lot these last few days. I hope maybe if I just keep putting in a solid 8 hours a night it'll get better. My legs are really tired now. I'll probably take the long run closer to 7:30 pace tomorrow to try to pep them up some. Saw another amazing rainbow during the cool down. This week has been filled with beautiful ones. Probably the two best ones I've ever seen.
Workout Format: 8x45sec hard 1:00 rest. 1:45 rest 2x1mile 5:35 with 1min between. (the workout time includes a .5 mile warmup too)
Coach Lenese Workout after. Kills my arms.
Static 1 and Eagle.
6x15 dips later because I forgot them yesterday even though I logged it.
Resting Heart Rate: 40
