A good run always softens the blow

January 9, 2018 (Afternoon)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: mid 40s and sun breaking through the cloud cover

Comments:
My morning plans for a group run or a track workout with the Dolphin had fallen through, so I called Spike Albrittain as I was laving Dr. Beck's. He agreed to run with me and ten minutes later we were trudging up the obscene hill he lives on. He lead me through some familiar and some not as familiar Arlington roads, and after about 12 minutes I began to feel loose and pretty decent. In fact, with each hill we conquered, I gained confidence and got rolling decently well. Pace was solid by the end, and I'm very pleased with how good I felt despite being 45 years old today. The constant right groin pain I'd been feeling is totally gone after the alignment and I'm hoping to be disciplined to do the hip strengthening Dr. Beck suggested. I walked out of the appointment feeling far more erect and upright and balanced, It is really amazing the difference it can make.
