Today, the dreaded Phase III began. Phase III marks the beginning of some character building workouts and a lot of fatigue. These are the workouts where people make or break, where boys become men, where top dawgs are shaped. So basically fuck phase 3.
For some reason, we had a distance as fuck workout today. Mistake? Not sure, but I got to experience some 5K pace today. The workout was 6 x 3mins at 5K pace with 2 min jogging rest and then 6 x 200m at mile pace with 200m jog. The first 3 min hards were relatively easy. I just stuck behind Paolo and let him guide us though, I hardly even looked at my watch. On the 4th one though Paolo had to drop a massive poo, so I ran it alone. I had no idea what pace we were going, so I accidentally went too hard, which is why my 4th split was so fast lol.
The 200s went by quick, but I had to really grind. I just starred at Paolo's sweaty ass shoulder and was accidentally dropped 31-32 for most of them. I didn't want to go that fast, but I was just following Paolo.
After the workout was over, I felt absolutely dead. I hadn't eaten since breakfast and was on like 4 hours of sleep. I had some run gum in my system, but still I felt like i got by a train. Regardless, I still had a really good workout and I'm look forward to the GVSU Big Meet this weekend. It should be a lit time.
PS. This log is being glitchy as hell, so I just added an estimation of what my 3 min hards were at all. Also again Fuck Phase 3
