Forrest Hills Fartlek

October 26, 2009 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
Forrest Hills seems to be the new favorite workout place. We were a little depleated with Chris Wade being sick and Ethan rolling his ankle so the group felt small yet mighty. I hope all the wounded warriors get healthy for confrence Saturday. I had a really good workout today. We did some 30 second reps which were basically striders and then moved into harder stuff with 3x3:30 at close to all out. For the first one of these I was able to hang with the lead pack and on the next one I decided to let it hang out and run at the front and see what happened. I was able to stay at the front for the remainder of the workout which was great. I kinda just hung with whoever was leading the interval. Never really pushing them but just sticking side by side or right on their sholder. Tim Smith was the primary leader of the temop sections that followed the hard 3:30 sections. On these I was able to settle in at the pace which did not feel fast for me. Just like comfortable speed as was commented on after we finnished. I hope Ethan's ankle heals up quick along as everyone who is nursing sickness or nagging injuries.
