Weather: ~45 degrees, Pouring Rain
Comments:
Long run day, this time, as a waffle run with Hoka. Felt like a plausible time to try the Machs for my long run, especially since it's a down week. The run itself was the Pretty Brook loop. Long story short, really good course! Super hilly, but I can't believe I haven't ran there much before. Definitely gonna use it to help me get to 20 later this training cycle. Pace was super slow, but considering I had 3 hours of sleep last night, I was fine with it. Actually, it's the pace Hal wants me to be running anyway. Meh, I'll keep ignoring him.
But the shoes were good! Feet felt fresh afterwards, and calves/achilles didn't feel beat to hell the next morning. So I think I'll be throwing those on for my long runs going forward!
