NCAA Indoor Nationals Recap

Well today I went out and ran 5 miles. My legs have not been feeling very great recently since after my last disastrous workout (and some intense trampolining lol). I took Friday off and almost decided to take the whole weekend, but figured if I was gonna spend the evening watching NCAA Indoor Track Nationals, I couldn't be a bitch lol.

The run didn't feel great, but at least the weather was nice. I ran down the Long Beach route and the lake was looking nice. 9/10 views, I could even see Chicago in the distance. But anyways, I'm gonna take it easy until Monday. I'm of course the creator of Mileage March, but I need to have a good workout Monday after Thursday's disaster. I just need to get my legs feeling good again and I'm sure Mileage March will roll right along.... even though I'm ending this week with only about 30 or so miles lol.

Also I almost pooed my pants at the end of this run. I had half a mile to go and barely made it back to my house. RIP our main bathroom, but glad I made it back.

Indoor Nationals had some highlights. Shoutout to Karissa Schweizer for that wire-to-wire, "go hard or suffer the rest of your life" mentality. She made the 3k and 5k actually interesting races. The men's mile, 3K, and 5K were ok (at least the 3K had an NAU upset), but just kind of overhyped races. Anti-Shoutout to Grant Fisher to being way too conservative. That dude just does not know how to be aggressive and he gets 4th and 5th place every time because of it. The 200s and 400s were filled with some WRs, but then again those are barely races! It's split into 2 heats, so it's basically glorified time trials. Which kind of works, but you can't get a true race out of that. No wonder they don't run the 200ms at Worlds (shoutout to Austin for informing me about that fact). Overall though NCAA Indoor had some exciting races. The women's mile, 3K, and 5K definitely seemed to be the highly. Definitely way better than fucking the DQ city that was Indoor Worlds #FreeChelimo. That race is a straight joke. Ok rant/recap over.
